Plastic Surgery Payment Plans in Australia

Do Hunter Plastic Surgery offer payment plans? The answer is yes! We know that flexible payment options help to make plastic surgery more accessible in Australia. We offer payment plans for our patients in advance of their breast augmentation, breast reduction, tummy tuck and other plastic surgery that Dr Moncrieff provides. Our Practice Manager Jessica explains more below.

How do our flexible payment plans for plastic surgery work?

We allow our patients to book surgery up to 6 months in advance, scheduling regular payments up until 1 month before the surgery when the final balance is required. When making your payments via direct deposit, we ask that you always include your surname for tracking.

For example, a $15,000 breast augmentation (round implants) paid over 20 weeks (5 months) would be a deposit of $2000 and then weekly instalments of:

20 payments of approximately $650

Interest-free plastic surgery financing

Our in-house payment plans are interest-free. We understand the financial pressure surgery can take out on your savings. That’s why we are happy to offer our patients the option for payment plans in advance of surgery as interest-free. This means you don’t have to worry about securing external plastic surgery financing or paying for your procedure after you have had it.

Other financing options

Some patients may choose to fund their plastic surgery procedure using an external medical finance company, such as TLC (Total Lifestyle Credit) or MediPay.

We are not affiliated or endorse any particular financing company. We are happy to accept payment from these providers once you have established a payment plan with them.

Patients in Australia looking for payment plans for plastic surgery have also approached their existing banks for redraws, personal loans or used a low-interest credit card to help assist funding their procedure.

If you are considering credit card or personal loan options, you may want to consider personal loan interest rates and interest free periods.

Some patients may instead opt to organise a special purpose savings fund to help reach their saving goal prior to surgery.

Please keep in mind that we are unable to provide financial advice.

We accept payments via Visa, Mastercard and direct deposit.

Can I access my superannuation?

Some of our patients have accessed their superannuation to pay for their surgical procedures. Keep in mind while superannuation can be released on compassionate grounds, it is also challenging. To meet a certain criteria for early release, patients need to be experiencing cases of chronic or acute pain and generally is only granted for breast reductions or abdominoplasty where patients are able to demonstrate ongoing medical issues. The significant downsides include having to pay tax on the amount withdrawn and a reduction in your retirement savings. To find out more or to see if you are eligible for early release visit our dedicated article on using your Superannuation for surgery.

Please note that we cannot complete the compassionate release of superannuation paperwork for you prior to your consultation with Dr Moncrieff. Once Dr Moncrieff determines your eligibility, a $200 administration fee (rebateable against surgery) applies for Dr Moncrieff and our team to complete our section of the paperwork and liaise with the Tax Office as required. Your GP provide will also need to complete a supporting report.
