It is a non-invasive, clinically proven procedure to selectively reduce fat layers in problem areas using cooling. It is a non-surgical procedure which gently cools unwanted fat cells in the body to induce a natural, controlled elimination of fat cells.*
Recovery is immediate as this is a non-invasive procedure and most people are happy to return to work or their social commitments that day.
You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and most people will experience the most dramatic results between 1 and 3 months.
Each treated “area” reflects what our handpieces will treat and is usually the size of your hand. A full assessment is performed during your complimentary consultation, but the most common treatment plans are:
Costs per area:

We are confident in the science of CoolSculpting and the results we have obtained in our patients, so we are happy to offer a money back-guarantee that it will work for you. Of over 3500 fat freezing treatments we have performed since 2014, less than 3% haven’t been clearly visible after completion of the recommended treatment plan in before and after photos (that means it has worked for over 97%!). We have been happy to refund the cost of the procedure to those people.
We know it works not only because it has been performed over 6 million times world-wide but also because almost every team member has been treated and we’ve seen our bodies change. You can also see our Practice Director’s blog on her experience and her amazing results as she had more treatments. All of this personal experience, and the results we have obtained for patients makes us happy to offer a money-back guarantee!
Our 5 star difference:
Just like liposuction (without the surgery), the frozen fat cells are removed*. Remaining cells can only increase if you put on weight.
*Please note individual results may vary.
For patients who have very large areas of loose skin and tissue, there are surgical options which will provide superior results. Other medical conditions such as hernias, immune disorders or Raynaud’s disease may also preclude treatment.
Yes, CoolSculpting is absolutely suitable for men too. The most popular areas to treat are love handles, abdomen, male chest and chin.
A recent male patient, Dax, shared his experience and results in a video. You can view it here: Click here.
While the initial application may feel unusual and possibly uncomfortable, it isn’t painful and the discomfort quickly subsides as the cold kicks in and makes the area numb.
It is important to have your complimentary consultation before committing to fat freezing. For this reason, we prefer to schedule your consultation and if you are suitable, and wish to proceed, we can book the room, machine and therapist’s time on a day that suits you.
But we also know that some patients travel some distance to see us for fat freezing, and want to do it on the same day. This is possible if you speak to one of our therapists first and have sent photos of the area you wish to treat and they have agreed you are likely to be a good candidate.
You then need to pay a $500 deposit to secure your treatment, which is only refundable if you are not suitable (that is, not for change of mind) or you provide 2 full working days notice, less a $100 admin fee.
During your complimentary consultation your CoolSculpting Therapist will prepare a customised quote to outline the cost of treating the areas you are most concerned about. You can then secure your treatment day by paying a $500 deposit. If you need to change or cancel, we ask for 2 full working days’ notice to ensure we can offer that time to another patient and we can transfer or refund your deposit, less a $100 administration fee.
On the day of your procedure, your areas of concern will be marked and then you get to sit back and relax while our Therapist positions the CoolSculpting handpiece over the area. Suction is applied to ensure as much fat as possible is cooled over the next hour. As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, you will feel pressure and a cold sensation. This soon dissipates. During the treatment you can read a book, surf the net or just sit back and drift off.
Comfortable clothing is ideal and for most patients a top and pants combination is best (rather than a dress). Make sure you wear underwear you feel comfortable being photographed in and that you can wear again to your post-treatment review in 12 weeks so we can truly compare “apples with apples”.
As with all medical procedures, individual results will vary with CoolSculpting. That’s why we offer our guarantee!
If you want to know more about this natural variation and the research which demonstrates the effectiveness and safety of the treatment, you may which to review the key research which was used to get the regulators in both the United States, and ours here in Australia.
Consultations: Your time is valuable, as is ours. To ensure our Therapists can focus exclusively on you during your consultation, we book out this time in their schedule, preventing them from seeing other clients. This time is secured by a $50 deposit which is fully refundable if you don’t proceed after your appointment or it can be rebated against your treatment if you wish to proceed.
However, cancellations or rescheduling without 2 full working days notice (by phone – 4920 7700), along with no-shows, forfeit this deposit.
Treatment Day: During your complimentary consultation your CoolSculpting Therapist will prepare a customised quote to outline the cost of treating the areas you are most concerned about. You can secure your treatment day, including the treatment suite, CoolSculpting machine/s and the Therapist, by paying a $500 deposit. If you need to change or cancel, we ask for 2 full working days’ notice to ensure we can offer that time to another patient and we can transfer or refund your deposit, less a $100 administration fee.
If less than 2 full working day’s notice is given, unfortunately the deposit it non-refundable.
CoolSculpting can cause minor side effects, including skin irritation, sensitivity, swelling, bruising and mild discomfort. An uncommon but severe side effect of CoolSculpting is paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, a condition where fat cells in the treatment site grow larger rather than smaller. Your CoolSculpting therapist will discuss these risks, and how you can reduce them before and after the treatment, in your initial consultation. You will also be given written material covering these risks.
