Amber is our Practice Director. She and Dr Moncrieff founded Hunter Plastic Surgery together in 2009.

Amber has led her team to 26 awards wins at local, national and global events through her strategic focus on patient care and team service culture. These include the 2024 Australian Small Business Champions Award in the Cosmetic Specialist category in Sydney, the 2023 Best Small Business Management Team Award at the Global Stevie Awards for Women in Business in New York and the 2020 International MyFaceMyBody Awards in 4 categories. 

INDUSTRY AUTHORITY

Amber is a regular presenter at industry conferences and in 2019 founded an industry group to facilitate sharing and helping her counterparts around the country shine. She worked closely on the grassroots campaign led by a fellow mum of twins to reinstate the Medicare item number for abdominoplasty for mums with abdominal muscle damage, meaning thousands of mums a year were eligible for government support again from 2022.

COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

The Moncrieffs are passionate supporters of a variety of charities and community organisations in Newcastle and beyond. The past year they have supported the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Bravehearts (child protection advocates), Interplast and Got Your Back Sista. PROUD MUM AND MASTER JUGGLER

With three active school-aged sons with busy academic and sporting commitments, Amber understands the family, community and work balancing act faced by many of our patients! And having recently turned 50, she tries to juggle all that with enough self-care to stay healthy and happy.

BACKGROUND

Amber previously held senior roles in business and politics in Sydney and Canberra. She holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and degrees in Law and Commerce.

Our warm and knowledgeable Practice Manager, Jessica, has been assisting patients with their surgical journey since 2010. Jessica has a passion for providing great service which was most recently recognised when she was awarded the Australasian Awards for Best Practice Manager at the 2019 MyFaceMyBody Global Awards. She has won a number of other service awards including the 2020 Stevies Awards for Young Professional Customer Service. 

Jessica holds nursing qualifications and is highly knowledgeable in our breast and body services, knowledge which she is happy to share during the Vectra surgery simulation appointments she offers women considering breast enhancement or reduction. 

As a mum to a young daughter, she knows the changes having a baby can make to a woman's body.  Jessica is a proud member of the Australian Association of Practice Management. Some of Jessica's recent training and career highlights are outlined below:

Melissa is a highly qualified Registered Nurse with a specific interest in cosmetic nursing. After completing a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Newcastle and a post graduate certificate in Critical Care Nursing, Melissa spent 12 years in public health working in the Intensive Care Unit at the John Hunter Hospital and as part of the Hunter New England Retrieval service team before pursuing her passion for cosmetic nursing. Melissa joined the Renew Medispa team in 2012 with considerable cosmetic nursing experience. She is a specialist in non-surgical injectables and has a strong following for her warmth and expert results. Her artistic ability and attention to detail have contributed to her success as a cosmetic injector. Melissa has completed training in a number of dermal therapies, including her focus areas of anti-wrinkle and filler injections.

Alecia joined us as our Practice Nurse in 2018. She is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in nursing and patient management in some of the busiest hospital settings in the Hunter! She really cares about helping our patients become healthy and happy. Her kind and calm manner help them feel comfortable during their journey with us. Some of Alecia's recent training and career highlights are outlined below.

Alicia is our Assistant Practice Manager who joined us in 2014. Alicia has formal Dermal Therapy qualifications and completed her Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science in 2015. She is also an accredited CoolSculpting Therapist. She is an outgoing and friendly woman who makes her clients feel at ease on their surgical or non-surgical journeys. She is a mum of two young children and we love seeing her balance her family at home and her ‘family’ (including many loyal patients) at work! Jasmine joined us as our Marketing Assistant in 2020. A warm and friendly face, Jasmine loves chatting with our patients and is passionate about all things social media!

Emma is a happy and bubbly person that had her own surgery with Dr Moncrieff in 2019. She was so happy with her results she joined the Hunter plastic surgery team in 2020 to help others with their surgical journeys.
