Four more awards!
Dr Nick Moncrieff and his team at Hunter Plastic Surgery are international award winners for the second time in 2020, despite the challenges delivered by Covid-19! And today's awards bring their total to 23 local, Australian and global awards in recent years.
“We are so delighted to receive this recognition from the MyFaceMyBody Global Aesthetic Awards today. We are very happy to accept four awards for all elements of our practice, from our welcoming reception team, our management, our five-star service, and of course, the surgical outcomes I love achieving for my patients,” Dr Moncrieff stated.
Hunter Plastic Surgery won a total of four awards for:
- Australasian Surgical Makeover of the Year – the body transformation Dr Moncrieff performed on our inspirational patient Celeste Rodwell after her 50+kg weight loss. Her results can be viewed in our Patient Journey Gallery here
- Australasian Customer Experience of the Year
- Australasian Practice Website of the Year
- Australasian Ruby Achievement Award for being winners over 3 years of the MyFaceMyBody Awards - consistency matters!
“Thank you so much to all hundreds of women who chose us in 2020 for breast and body surgery and allowed us to make a real difference to their health, happiness and confidence. We are especially grateful they chose us during such a challenging year,” Dr Moncrieff commented.
"And thank you to my amazing team headed by my wife Amber Moncrieff, Practice Manager Jessica Laing and Alicia Green, who has been Acting Practice Manager this year while Jessica took maternity leave. Our team, also including Nurse Melissa, Nurse Alecia, Nurse Michaela, Emma, Jasmine and Kylie, have really pulled together to continue providing our patients the 5 star care and support they deserve despite Covid-19 challenges!"
Our unique focus on breast and body surgery pays off
“These awards are more confirmation that our decision four years ago to focus exclusively on breast and body surgery for women has been the right one. We know we are very busy, but it is great to have the MyFaceMyBody judges look closely at so many clinics across the world and independently confirm that what we have is pretty special,” said Dr Moncrieff.
Co-founder Amber Moncrieff explained, “we have now grown to be one of the most well-known plastic surgery practices in Australia for women and at the start of the year we were on track to have over 30% of our patients travelling more than 100kms from across the country to have surgery with us.”
“We then hit a big hurdle in March when we were effectively shut down for 6 weeks due to corona virus restrictions and obviously our patients from Victoria and Queensland had their plans disrupted for months.”
“We didn’t stop working hard however, offering virtual consultations and continuing to support our existing patients remotely so that once it was safe to resume, we have been managing record levels of demand for breast and body surgery and cosmetic injectables.”
More reality, less BS in plastic surgery marketing
“One of my passions in the last few years has being an advocate for more reality in how women are represented in our industry.”
“I was personally sick of seeing stock images of skinny teenage models who had often never even had surgery, being used in social media and other marketing by clinics offering cosmetic and plastic surgery.”
“Over the last few years we have switched to only featuring our real patients across our website, social media and other marketing channels and prospective patients have loved it.”
The win today for Australasian Practice Website of the Year is a testament to the value of this focus as our website was refreshed just over a year ago by local company Zimple Digital to really showcase our real results on real women. And with visits up to the website by over 50% over the year, we know this approach really resonates with women doing their research,” Amber stated.
Plans for growth in 2021 – a new Specialist Surgeon to join the team!
“Given the huge demand we are seeing for breast surgery in Newcastle which Dr Moncrieff simply can’t meet as one person, we have been working on a plan to introduce a second surgeon.”
“Our main focus has been on someone able to deliver the results and care people expect from Hunter Plastic Surgery and we have been working over the last few months to make sure we have the right person. We can’t wait to reveal more in early 2021,” Amber concluded.
About the MyFaceMyBody Global Awards
For almost a decade the MyFaceMyBody Awards have run throughout the UK and USA. They came to Australia in 2015 when Hunter Plastic Surgery was recognised as the Practice Team of the Year at their awards night in Sydney.
“Well done to MyFaceMyBody founder Stephen Handisides who must have sensed something like corona was coming as he switched these long-running awards to being held virtually last year, making it possible to share the results via live-stream all over the world simultaneously today. To win so many awards knowing there were over 1000 entries from across the globe is so humbling.” Dr Moncrieff stated.
