Top 5 Blogs of 2025

As 2025 draws to a close, we have put together a summary of our top 5 blog most popular blog posts of the year to help you plan for your own surgical journey with Dr Moncrieff in 2026!

What is the "drop and fluff" process after breast augmentation?

Wonder what happens after breast augmentation?

In the first 12 weeks post-surgery, you will notice significant changes in the breasts, and then more gradual changes up until 12 months as the skin and chest muscles relax and the breast implants take their final shape.

From "Frankenboob" to "I like what I see" - Dr Moncrieff explains the "drop and fluff" process and why it happens here.

Taping your plastic surgery scars

Recently undergone breast or body surgery with Dr Moncrieff? As a crucial step in your scar management regime, we recommend taping your incision from 6-12 weeks post-surgery.

Adhesive medical paper or silicone tapes are proven to reduce the possibility of scars becoming raised and are effective in applying gentle and constant pressure to the incision, protecting and supporting the wound.

Practice Nurse Alecia Baker explains here.

When can I stand up straight after a tummy tuck?

One of the most common questions that we have from our tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) patients post-surgery is “when can I stand up straight?!”

Nurse Alecia explains how to maximise your surgical results by utilising the proper standing and resting positions after body surgery with Dr Moncrieff here.

Post-surgical bloating and swelling

During the post-surgery recovery period, some of the most common questions our team receive are, “have I put on weight?” and “why do I look and feel so bloated?”

The good news is that these sensations are only temporary – but why do they occur and what can you do to help minimise the discomfort?

Find the answers in our article here.
