Risks and benefits of treatment are also explained in your consultation.

Rest assured your lip filler experience will leave you pain-free. At the beginning of your appointment we apply a medical numbing cream for at least 20 minutes. This is enough time to make you numb leaving you feel minimal discomfort.
Our Plastic Surgeon, Dr Nicholas Moncrieff, prefers the use of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers because they have a proven safety record and are associated with little to no downtime. Hyaluronic acid is a normal component of our skin that depletes with age, in this way we are only replenishing what we have lost and producing very natural looking results.
1 – You are in safe hands: At Hunter Plastic Surgery, you can be confident in the expertise of the person performing your procedure as all anti-wrinkle injections are performed by a Specialist Cosmetic Nurse, overseen by our Plastic Surgeon, Dr Moncrieff.
2 – We only use leading brand fillers: While we are not allowed to publish the brand name due to medical regulations, we can discuss it over the phone. Leading brand fillers have longer track-records of safety and effectiveness over larger treatment populations. In other words, more people have used them and been happy with the results and safety.
3 – You have access to our accredited Plastic Surgeon: Our clinic is owned and managed by Dr Nicholas Moncrieff who is available to meet you on-site, not over Skype as offered in other clinics.
After the filler treatment, It is normal to experience minor bruising, redness and swelling. Bruising may vary from none, all the way through to mild/dark bruising depending on the person and the area injected. These will simply subside over the next 48 hours depending on the person. It is normal to feel the filler under the skin, this sensation subsides around the 4 week mark.
We recommend to keep hydrated and avoid hot drinks like tea or coffee after your injection.
We welcome you to bring an adult friend or family member. We ask that children under 12 are NOT brought with you to any appointments at Hunter Plastic Surgery before, during or after your procedure (including post operative visits). That ensures that our team are able to focus on your needs without distractions. We also have sensitive medical equipment in our clinic which is not always compatible with curious minds and hands. Cancellation policy applies.
We understand that sometimes things change! Given the high demand for consultations, all we ask that clients give us at least 2 full working days notice (by phone – 4920 7700) if they are not going to be able to attend at their scheduled time to allow us to contact people on our wait-list to reallocate the time.
If appointments are cancelled or rescheduled by the patient with less than 2 full working days notice they will be charged the full consultation fee. This will result in the forfeiture of your $100 deposit for the consultation. We reserve the right to decline requests to subsequently rebook for the same client.
